1030 a.m.
mmmmm happy day-after-valentine's day
got home sorta frazzled last night, bu thad a goodfella's pizza, a vienetta for kurt's birthday, and a milk tray for a happy-vday-everyone-i-had-to-work-forever-and-didn't-get-you-valentines thing. plus, bridget jones always talks about them.
i stopped next door before i even went home. the girls told me kurt had gotten a call from bart's office saying "bart's taken a turn for the worse, some one needs to get a cab and come get him" - whhhaaaat? so strange. we were all really worried but when they got back, bart just said it was really stuffy in the office and he felt a little lightheaded. i don't know though, he seemed weird about it, and he is staying home today, and he didn't seem to be sick before that. anyways. had kurt's vienetta after dinner, with my two candles from camden on top, because i couldn't find birthday candles. it was gooood. then we mixed some after-dinner drinks up, and this girl becky who was adrienne's roommate last year came over with her boyfriend. (she's at east anglia and they were in the city for a few days). we headed out to bar 38, which was very cool. got a pitcher of lynchberg lemonade, mmmm. saturday through wednesday pitchers are only £9! we got 5 or 6 drinks out of just one, so it was worth it even for £13. the inside was very cool sort of scandinavian design and very sleek. it was cool, but pretty empty ... not exactly a "romance hot spot."
we went to Deux Beers after and met some different bartenders. we filled up on their wonderful shooters and erin and i got some free ones, mine was this yummmy one with creme de menthe i think, and cream de cacao (i think), and milk. it was green and reeealllly good. we had special valentine's ones and a few from the list too. yummm. we had planned to go to match after, but stayed at deux beers till around 1130, because the fantastic soul CD they were playing picked up tempo with some jackson five "i want you back" and a few other fun songs that i don't remember and a bunch of people started dancing, including us. it was fun.
erin and i went to the golden fish bar after (open till midnight monday-saturday!!!) for chips mmmmmmmm. soooo glad i bought that vinegar last week, because you finish the top layer by the time you get to our building.
so my family is here, somewhere in the city, right now!!! i'm so psyched to see them! andrew's not here, and i'm almost finished the wickhill links thing i'm doing (again! because the guy who made the PDF last time didn't do the thumbnails right or something - i don't know). so anyways, i wonder if i can cut out early! that wouldn't be of much help because i'm not meeting them till like 130 so if they weren't in the room, i'd just have to go back, but i could clean up our flat or something. oh well.
okay i'm gonna finish this project.
