will you email me please? i'd like to see you, soon.

The Vague But Nice Quiz by blusteryvirgin

1234 am may 30

so i see last night's entry did not post. oh well, i will recap.

yesterday i worked the morning at crossroads, then came home to see my sis get ready and go to the prom. she and jon looked great, she was so pretty! i want to go to the prom! then i took mom & dad out to j&bs, which was nice. we were afraid the power would go out but it didn't.

soon after we got home, i got a pretty unexpected phone call. not entirely unexpected, but it came a little sooner than i thought i would, it was nice though. passed up a reason to go to boston, because i had a movie date with meliss. we saw insomnia. two thumbs up.

originally i thought i had to work lunch today but found out yesterday that i didn't (yeay). picked up the last of my europe pics from walmart (gaudi's chimneys and pics of kate on the beach, me on the beach, kate drinking sangria, me drinking sangria, and a few from the eleventh hour show in springfield a couple of weeks ago. went and got a new cell phone, exciting.

then off to j&bs where i came home with exactly $35. tomorrow is my last night, weeeird. i'm completely okay with it, considering how much i've worked between there and crossroads this month, i've pretty much OD'd on it, but it's always strange to leave for good when you've worked somewhere that long (2+ years) and know everyone's stories and husbands/boyfriends/childrens names and what they did last friday night.

last shift at CR at lunch, last j&bs for dinner, then my grandparents in the hiz-ouse when i get home. hmm.

today uncle chuck, adam, and ashley left which was sad, but not very sad because a. it was so fun to hang out with them for so long (haven't spent days together in years) b. we will be seeing them again in july.

i threw up again this morning. pretty gross. my stomach hates life apparently. spent a few hours on the couch today watching the real world chicago, went to walmart with my dad (no good grills) and tried to go to cingular about a new phone but all of those places were closed. :P hung around, went to worcester and met up with doug, went out to their show in easthampton. people attending the show? me, katherine, tim, 2 kids i don't know, chris' friend dave, and the kids from the other bands. i can't really say there was all that much fun involved, but it's always nice to see everyone, and tim up from CT and all. the ride there, but especially the ride back, were wicked summer. haha. it was the best. i got sleepy though, and am still, in fact, i'm painfully tired. will write emails tomorrow. remember the 8th, k?

technically it is already monday, which means it is my last of 3 days off in a row. sad, sad times.

went to boston with the fam & the rels today. walked around the common and down to quincy market (where a man riding a 7 foot unicycle grabbed my jacket and nearly lifted me off the ground ... strange) and walked down long wharf. long day, but great.

"happy memorial day" ... eleventhhour tomorrow night @ the flywheel ... looks like the plan.

so . . . Wednesday night at work I noticed that Angela had a sign up asking to pick up some one's Thursday shift. Later that night I talked to Doug who affirmed the R-rated hypnotist show was on. Thursday I call Angela and she is happy to take my shift :D brilliant! Amusing car ride out with Doug, Brendan, and Jamie, and the hypnotist was fun-ny. He called me up. I was in and out of it, but there were things I didn't remember like horrible smelling hypno-farts and a superglued tongue. But some one would laugh and the dude next to me would fall out of his chair, and it was like I came out of it, which I think I was okay with. Jamie should have gone up b/c apparently he was super under the spell from the get go. It was funny. Ride home was funny, featuring the boys singing along to LesMis. How often do you experience that? haha. Irish Times with Doug and Jamie after. Huge line of kids from theCross waiting to get in but eventually we were there. It was very crowded, but seemed to be a great place, and there were two guys playing acoustic and not too loudly, and Doug said normally there isn't super-loud music anyways. This is a beautiful thing. It beats the Blarney and the Foo by far.

Stayed up very late and then worked lunch at Crossroads and dinner at J&Bs. It went well, but I was tired and not sure when my relatives were getting here, so I didn't go to Adam's for another random LHS roundup after work. UncleChuck, Adam, and Ashley ended up getting to the house around 1 today. It was great. We ate lunch, played badmitton, went for ice cream, drove around to look at stuff, had dinner, went to the drive in and saw Spiderman (still great!) and came home and hung out. It was great, and what a nice day - finally nice out.

Have a great weekend

so i missed kelley's birthday because i knew it was may 20 - something but not exactly when, and hadn't had a chance to ask. i'm a bad friend.

i need to go to bed earlier, and i just want a few days off. i think i'm on the fast track to crossroads and j&bs overkill. any time I have a night off, i have to work a double the next day anyways :P one more week . . .
1 am may 21

saw unfaithful tonight, it was weird, very draining.

not much else going on. it was fun to hang out with meliss tonight. i might go see this hypnotist on thursday, but i'm not sure. driving in to the city and trying to find peopel doesn't sound as fun. work work work and uncle chuck adam and ashley come this weekend, which will be reeeealy nice.

dan linked to this. one big eye roll please?

Worked yesterday. Of course I was the late lunch girl with Kathleen and no one would stay. Luckily I had all of my things with me and I stayed till 330 and split when Jimbo came in. Had my "interview" at the Webster House at 430. It wasn't so much an interview as it was an opportunity to meet the manager. She seemed nice. We have to wear denim shirts (ugh) and ties (UGH). Haha, but it seems like it will be a good place to work. I guess Staton is coming back to work there, which would be fun.

Met Mariss at Clark and went to Kate's. We went to Mohegan Sun for dinner (yum), fun martinis at the gorgeous martini bar, and a little bit of the slot machines, haha. Stayed up not-too-late.

Back early. xoxo

1125 pm may 19

I had a great day off ... I slept till 1130, had pancakes, went to Nashua with my mom, bought the cuuuutest halter top and great computer desk, went out to dinner with the fam, came home and watched 10 Things I Hate About You, and Never Been Kissed. Super relaxing, only good times. It's back to work tomorrow but out with the girls tomorrow night yeeeeeeeeay! I'm excited. :D

Shopping was fun today, but there were lots and lots of cute things I wanted. It's tough to hold back. Haha. I can't wait to move in. I really want to go down for awhile on the first... I already missed the apartment hunt, and the semester long talks about how to decorate it and how things will be, I don't want to completely miss our initial few hours there. I also don't want to cramp Cyndy's style on her big graduation weekend, though. We'll see how it goes.

I need to crawl into bed, but I have an equal, if not greater need to crawl into my bed. Mmmmmm.

Let's hope it's nice tomorrow*

Hello Hello
I have once again found happiness and a renewed faith in myself. Well, that's exaggerating quite a bit, but I'm happy because I almost have a job at the Webster House restaurant. I filled out an application today and talked to the owner for 10 minutes, who said I was perfect for the position. I have to call back after 330 to talk to the hiring/scheduling manager to make sure I can get the kind of shifts/money I need/want, and that what I need/want fits with what they need/want. Even if I don't get it, I just feel a little better about applying places. I hate looking for jobs :P

Yesterday I worked at Crossroads, which also made me happier, because I finally made a decent amount of money! I was home for awhile, then at fabric stores and WalMart where I found great $2/yard fabric for a jedi costume (yes, I was talked into it). Went to JonesSt. and cut out all the pieces. Went to Papa Gino's for like 2 hours with Tim, which was fun times. Although he never smiles or appears to be having fun, Tim is fun. Haha. It was good (and interesting) to hear his perspective on some things. Back to the apartment (15 minutes late - dun dun dunnnn), and the needle had broken on the sewing machine anyways. Jamie tried to finagle me a Jedi costume from the pieces, but it just wasn't working. Off to the theatre (way early), and it was an interestingly geeky ride. The infamous JoePerna sat two rows behind me and I had to say hello and point out how Kate mentioned him every day in London. We shook hands. Wonderful. Some senior Clark folks were there, too, but not in our theatre. The movie got out after 2 and we went back to the apartment and stayed up way to late. Thus ended the night of geekiness.
Headed out around 1130 today and did some job - app stuff. One of the places advertising for waitresses had already "fulfilled the position" boo to that.
And now I'm home, and off to work. Of course, what else do I do, really?

I'm the crankiest girl today. I'm all out of whack. Worked this morning (of course), came home with $31. Which, for 11 - 230 is alllmost $10, especially if you factor in the whopping $2.63 I get hourly. :P I dunno. I just feel like I'm working constantly and not getting much for it. I've worked every day since last Wednesday and don't have a day off till the 19th. It makes me all lazy after work and I keep staying up late so I get up too late to do anything besides just get ready for work in the morning.

Called VinnyTesta's today, at 505 pm and they told me I need to call back between 3 and 5 and come down for an interview. So, I'm gonna try that tomorrow afterwork and hopefully I can get in a shower beforehand so I can run down and do the interview deal before it's 5 pm.

Still loving the 'scort. Got gas today ... 10 gallons with 310 miles on the odometer. No one shared my excitement. It is the expected gas mileage for highway driving, but I was psyched that my car gets mileage that great and that not only is it supposed to, but it actually does.

Star Wars tomorrow! It'll be a late night, so I must sleep. Must wake up normal, happy self.

1248 am may 14 - happy birthday meliss
Hullo!

Things are good here. I've been working every day and don't have a day off till the 19th. Argh. Crossroads sucked last week, which makes it hardly worth the drive ... Last Friday after work I went to Adam's which was mostly just strange. All these people from work were there (half of them still in high school), and 5 or 6 kids I went to high school with were there (mostly from Adam's class except Mike D. from mine). It was strange. I introduced myself to Dave Cohen. I didn't know it was him. Oh well. Dave Court was there and we stood on the porch and talked about JoshFalk and Hans and stuff and Kevin from work, who is a junior in high school, was talking about Hans. So funny. Dave says he thinks Hans is coming back from California again. He always does. It was so random to see him at that Fitchburg party last spring, and soooo Hans, talking to me about girls for 45 minutes in the middle of a party after not seeing me for probably 2 years. I left with Angela and Beth at two.

Saturday worked the lunch shift, expecting to make something crappy like the $ 4 I made doing that shift once, but it was amazingly busy since there were only 3 of us on, so I walked out with something like $75. Not bad for lunch. Picked Lori up around 6 and headed to Springfield for the Eleventh Hour show. Stood around in the parking lot for a long time, feeling old. Most of the crowd was definitely in high school, and probably 15. I realized it was a lot like those shows I set up junior year. Heh. Marc was there, which was fun because I haven't seen him since their show at the Avalon the summer after freshman year, and that was only quick, before that it was the spring of freshman year before he left for tour in Japan. What craziness. He lives in Worcester. Maybe when he's not too busy touring he will come to the beaver barbecues. He seemed taller. The boys' set was way too short, but fun. Jamie was on bass and Tim was on drums and it was a fun change. I heard a couple of new ones but would have liked to have heard more because I really liked them, more in the way I would like them if they were just some songs from some random band I didn't know. Does that make sense? Basically, they were more my taste. After the show Lor and I bought drinks and a frozen pizza and interrupted Tim and his girl at Jones St. Woooops. I set off the smoke alarm and Tim was distressed. Doug came home, and soon Katherine and Brendan too. Hung out for a bit watching old SNL and split. Got home around 2 and for some reason signed online, finding a boy there that I hung out with a few times freshman year, who I met through Marc. Haven't talked to him much since then, except briefly and randomly or at shows, but I immed to say I'd seen Marc, and we talked till 4 a.m. Random. I was cracking up though. I of course invited him to barbecues and we exchanged numbers. Talked to him again briefly last night and reaffirmed our wanting to hang out. So random. It'd be great to see him.

Sunday was Mother's Day and work was only okay. Cyndy and I did dinner up for Mum, and she said she had a good day. Today it was back out to Crossroads, and with the rain, and it being a Monday, I of course only came home with $25. This needs to end.

Cyndy and I saw Incubus tonight, with the free radio station tix. It was fun! We had dinner at Applebee's and for me not knowing much of their stuff, it was a good time. It was Cyndy's first big "concert" deal, too, so that was cool. I think she had a lot of fun.

Unfortunately it's back to work again at 11, so I'm outs.

May 9, 2002

you're smiling like new jersey on its side, i'm glued to the seat

So... what's up?
I bought a car a week ago and somehow forgot to mention it. I am deeply and truley in love with it, so I don't know how this oversight happened. It's a 97 Escort with 33000 miles, in amazing shape. It's my first non-POS car, and I'm a very very proud owner. The only downside is it just has a cassette player, and no currently affordable remedies to that situation, other than the discman. Ah well. I love it. I got a really good deal and it's financed and even the insurance is in my own name. So grown up . . . haha It's been wonderful except the service engine light came on yesterday, but I took it in this morning and it turns out a hose must have loosened up when they power washed the engine and it then fell off. No worries. I was glad I brought it in and they took care of it right then, unlike the situation with my sister's car, where they made her wait a few days to bring it in, then had it for several days. :P I also got an alignment check and then got an alignment. I went to Demer's as usual. I have to say I highly recommend them... they always do good work, and today I didn't have my dad with me and the guy wasn't condescending or anything and it was great.

Being back at work is pretty good. Did J&B's Sunday and will be back tomorrow night. Crossroads Monday and today. Unusually low cash flow at CR but hopefully that will improve soon. The majority of the people I've worked with out there are the same ones I worked with last summer and they were all excited to see me, it was like having a strange, small fan club. J&B's was pretty good, but the Sunday night crowd was kinda weird, the youngest people and the girl that annoys me the most were working. I was the one who'd been there longest, it was strange. I really like working at those places though, I have a lot of fun. Adam was cooking at Crossroads today and it was fun to see him. He's just great.

Not much else is going on ... I dropped off my ring to be fixed yesterday. I'll have it back Saturday. It will be strange to wear it again... Ate BlueJeansPizza with Tim&Doug. Always fun times... Today I spent 3 hours driving into and around Boston and back to pick up the tickets my dad won from Mix98.5 for the Incubus show. I had a fleeting romance with a boy in traffic, but couldn't give our relationship the attention it needed, since I was on the phone with Lori... alas... Lor came over for DC&Felicity and we hooked up the Nintendo to our broken TV. Turns out the TV works fine for stuff that just goes in those colored jacks in the back.

Mariss was just asking me how I was adjusting and stuff, which was nice. Everyone goes on about how "normal" it is for me to be around, which of course is true, since I've always been around, but ... it's still different for me ... I dunno.

In general .. things are good. Home is nice, but I'm also looking forward to moving to the apartment. It will be so fun to paint and start with a whole new room ... one that's really mine, it will be different than a dorm room ... maybe just b/c I can paint it?

honestly, i can't dream of anything better

1226 a.m. May 5

A good weekend. I have been home 11 days and have stayed at Clark for 4 of those.

Friday night I went down to go out to dinner with the girls. We went to Biaggio's and it was goood and this woman sat down at the booth across from ours with her daughter and her daughter's friend, right before we got dessert. We were at Biaggio's for almost 3 hours and Lay had to get up and stretch her legs out and some how this got us talking with the woman about remembering when we were 9. Turns out she used to work in the public affairs office at Clark. After dessert the bill came and we had just got the money together, when the manager came over and told us An anonymous person would like to take care of your bill. We thought he was kidding, but no, he called our waitress over and said the woman at the other table wanted to take care of our bill, our $95 bill, and the tip. We were overwhelmed, to say the least. We offered to babysit, which she refused (although her daughter was begging her to let us, haha), and just said When you're settled, do this for some one. Stay good kids. I couldn't believe it.

Later, I went to the Blarney with Kate, Lay, Aaron and Brady. It was SUPER loud, as always (well as it was the 2 other times I've been). A boy was there, Justin ("this just in", remember?, the boy who was amazed by the fact that when singing Ani songs I could occassionally sound just like her...), who I nearly dated sophomore year. He was a friend of girls we worked with and I don't remember how I met him but we hung out with them all a few times and he would call me up and I blew him off at their halloween party, and then again when we were supposed to go for coffee. So, anyways, I was trying to avoid him. I felt like it just wouldn't have been a fun convo, and I know that's my own fault. Me Aaron and Kate went to the FooBar, where the music wasn't quite as loud, but it kinda sucked, especially since it was trying for a mini-club atmosphere, and there were all these silences between songs. I'm 95% sure I saw Lindsay from high school there, we made eye contact and didn't try and make screaming-small-talk, which I was happy about. The crowd there was very sporty and very gap/a&f. It was overwhelming. We went back to the Blarney, and this-just-in was still there, as were 9million other people, who all seemed to be incredibly tall. I swear I was the shortest girl there. Anyways, we didn't stay long, and me and Kate came home at like 130. Soon, the others came back, with JamieSalo and craziness ensued including dance routines and AaronWilson continually sitting on me. I crashed, fully dressed, in Lori's bed with her, and after 4 uncomfortable hours of sleep, came back to the burg.

I never went back to sleep but hung around, chatted with the fam, drank coffee, and showered, and headed back to meet up with Meliss and D. We went to Tatnuck for lunch and had a sucky waitress, but we got 10% off b/c I go to Clark, and I applied for a job. We got watermelon sherbert at Friendly's (yum), and went our seperate ways. Bought a 6 pack of SamAdamsLight, intending to hit Adam's barbecue, but stopped by the suite first and got all distracted, then Doug called about going to see Spiderman, so I went and it was great, I really really liked it. :D Hung out with him at Jones St. and Todd and Meredith showed up and I showed everyone pictures and we blabbed and played some video games and I headed back to Clark at 1, in a last attempt to reunite with the girls. Ricci was in the suite (with Richard - back from Madrid - yeay!) and pointed me to Suzanne's party. I arrived as they were leaving and we came back to the suite. And hung around doing not much of anything. I was cold, AaronWilson was drunk, Vin was hanging out with Mo and I discovered that he is a big BadlyDrawnBoy fan. If this is the case for anyone else check out About A Boy - the movie & soundtrack.

I fell asleep in my sleeping bag at some point, on Kate and Lori's floor while Katie and Richard were still watching the dance video and didn't wake up till Katie's alarm went off at 1040. I'm pretty achey considering how long I slept. I was tangled in my sleeping bag and couldn't move for awhile when I first woke up. Frightening.

Dropped off an app. at Vinny Testa's, where Kristin from LHS99 was hostessing. It was an LHSclassof99 weekend in Worcester, apparently (although neither spotting was strange considering I think K is at assumption and L is at Worcester State). Hopefully I could work there, I bet it would be great money. I've got the experience. Then it was home home home. I worked at J&Bs. It was just like always. Made okay money, realized out of everyone working I'd been there the longest. For awhile I was sitting at the table in downtime with all these kids fresh out of high school or still in it, and it was just weird, I wish I could explain it better without sounding like I'm all miss maturity or something.

I have a headache and it's not going away. Thissss blows. Maybe now that I've semi caught up, I can start writing more intelligent things.

I miss the city

xoxo
