well, things are good.
i graduated sunday the 18th.

it was a gorgeous day and the party was really fun. the ceremony itself seemed pretty anticlimactic, but it was nice, and the speakers were excellent.
lots of other stuff has happened too, but i will talk about it when i have more photos scanned to share.
tuesday, my great grandfather died, and we flew to pittsburgh wednesday. i'm really glad we were there for everything.
we got back saturday, sunday i hung out, came back to the apt., worked monday, tuesday, went to the cape after work tues, got back tonight, went out b/c we thought it was some peoples' last night (turns out it's not), and here i am. it's been a busy few weeks, let alone a busy month. i have been running since classes got out april 28th. after next weekend, things will calm down. it will just be work and fun times (going out, reading, adventures), and sleeping in. mmmmm

everyone has expressed anxiety about graduation ... and untill tonight i have been only excited. katie gave us presents of pictures in a frame and some others and bought champagne and said nice things and it was too great and i def. shed tears. and tonight was the last night of senior week. overall, i am SO excited to graduate ... to do internships and MSPC and to next year go somewhere, and do something, let alone just to get my degree on sunday. sometimes, it's been a long four years and soemtimes it's been so short.
the main truth of this moment is that i should be in bed.

- 3 am found out i got an A- in astronomy, flying colors for the semester, and overall

- sr. brunch awesome, fancy tables, being waiting on by facutly & admin. good food
- sr. awards - given the award for outstanding contribution to student activities!
- mail - nominated for an alumni award that goes to the "outstanding female" in the sr. class
- playday - bouncy rooms and sno cones
- work $
- no going out, six flags in the a.m.!

did the entire walk for hunger today - and it was awesome. such a gorgeous day. we were all nearly dying at points, but now its just an achey joint or two and two blisters. no biggie. got a lotta sun. got a sunburned nose. got freckles under my eyes. 7news said over 42,000 people walked and raised over $3million. that's a lot of food for hungry people! and the best part is we did something great and had a great time doing it. :) we started around 930 and finished up about 4. we definitely took somet breaks including a solid half hour for lunch. the craziest part is after lunch, it was 2 pm when we got going, and we did the last 9.5 miles in two hours.

after a 3 hour nap, and a bowl of pasta, i'm studying astronomy. thank god it ends tomorrow. then it's just 3 pages for culture and the news due tuesday ...

so ready, so ready

i had a lot of fun last night and only spent $3. what more can a girl ask for?

things are going well. handed in quiz 3 for culture and the news wednesday, and went home. shopped with mom thurs. got new clothes, including a dress for graduation and a super fun new red dress. sooo looking forward to wearing them.

my dad's got some stomach issues like he had when i graduated high school. except this time he went to the dr. and she apparently gave him the antibiotic they give people who have anthrax SO hopefully he'll be all better and will not have to break out of the hospital to see the ceremony this time.

things are on for the graduation cookout, and i'm really really looking forward to it. the beav is going to be mobbed with people. perhaps even my grandparents. i'll believe it when i see it, but it would be nice. we're going to have more food than you could dream up, i don't think we have enough tables to hold it all - but it sounds like we will have plenty of mouths to feed between families and friends.

going to work again tonight. walking for hunger tomorrow! 20 miles, hey hey. adrienne, kate, and layla are all going, i'm excited. it looks like it might be overcast, but what good company!
