So I got to bed at 4 a.m. after writing my paper, got it printed at work the next morning, took my exam, handed the paper in, and was done. Our "tutor" gave us his phone number and address. I'll have to send him postcards or something. Went to lunch with Raffi, Karen, and Kate. It was nice. Said goodbye to Karen, walked to the tube with R&K, said goodbye to Raff. There were a few moments of slight sadness. All of these goodbyes are making the reality of "the end" set in.
Went to the National Portrait Gallery yesterday afternoon, which was nice. Breezed around some souvenir shops in Leicester Square, too.
I managed to get 2 returned tickets to the About A Boy screen talk at the Barbican last night. The movie was really good. PLUS it's filmed in what is basically our backyard. One of the first scenes features Clerkenwell Green and the ThaiJen restaurant where I went to eat with co-workers a couple of weeks ago. Hugh Grant is super hot in this movie, by the way. Badly Drawn Boy did the soundtrack, which was awesome. The kid in it is a great actor. Two thumbs up overall. Then, Nick Hornby (who wrote the book the movie is based on, as well as High Fidelity), and the two directors (Paul & Chris Weitz who did American Pie) were there to talk. No one asked any wonderful questions, and this film critic led the chat, but it was still really cool, and all for only £6.50! Gotta love the student discounts they like to give over here.
Going home. We have our big "final meeting" tonight.
