ended up with the whole weekend off from work ... making up one of the shifts wednesday night so i won't be exceedingly poor or anything. friday was danielle's birthday and she and fletcher and meredith came down and we went out for dinner & things. had a delicious watermelon cosmo at peppercorn's - yum. melon sugared edge and watermelon puree all in a fun glass? oh yes.

came home to the lb yesterday to help paint my bedroom. went to the drive-ins with the fam. super wholesome. saw charlie's angels whatever and t3. i liked em both, even though they were not wonderful amazing movies or anything. i think the soundtrack really drove charlie's angels and i just liked the terminator, even if it did just sort of summarize the past two movies. we did learn a few new things. i want there to be a terminator 4 and we get to see john connor all grown up and mid- or post-resistance.

today was awesome and spent at salisbury beach reading and sunning and chatting and relaxing and riding waves in! woohoo! on our way out we saw the water temp was 58degrees. we are tough. so much fun. seafood for dinner, etc., fun day with the lb girls & some of their umass girls. here at home, mum and dad finished painting the room. excellent. it looks bigger with white walls and is all nice and fresh and ready for all my old stuff ... i keep saying i will keep it all nice so it can be a "guest room" ... i think i have a few more times of going through & chucking stuff out before it gets quite there ... but it will.

my class is going well. thursday we went out for the first hour or so and observed people communicating and reported back. for real. we went to friendly's. yum. but everyone's observations were interesting ... it was weird for the three of us 5thyears because a lot of the statements were really general - in the stereotypical and closeminded sense, and it made me really aware that this program is really seperate from the rest of Clark, and the students are very different. john made some nice points about how much life is happening in just the short distances we went from campus. it was really sort of just exciting to think about. it's obvious, yes, but amazing when you remember.

xoxo.
