So, I truly have been slacking on the updates ...

Let me start off by discussing how currently joyful I am because:

1. I pre-ordered the new Hey Mercedes cd from Tower and now I get to listen to the whole thing on the internet till I get it. This is extra exciting due to the fact that I've had a song stuck in my head for like a week that goes something like "all i know is i'm never gonna go the safe way home," and I was pretty sure it was new HM but how could I know for sure? Well, now I got to listen to it ("Boy Destroyers") so hopefully I won't have that one line stuck in my head any more. Blah blah blah anyways, the tunes rock, and I love life.

2. I got a weird call on my cell phone last night from "Brendan from the Saves the Day street team," offering me some tickets to Friday's show. I said I'd take 'em, he said he'd mail 'em, and I was stoked. Granted, I'm pretty undeserving of free tix, all I've done is send out an annoying e-card to my friends and im a few of them about STD's new record, haha. Yeah, I've done nothing. But I get free tickets. There's a big problem with this, in that I work Friday nights. But the sweet thing about having physical tickets is anyone could use 'em. No worries though, Kris is working for me, and I'm not even losing out on cash this week b/c I'm working the wine dinner tonight. Ooooh sweetness. Taking Back Sunday is also playing, which I'm probably actuallymore excited for. :D

Started Puma Monday. It was good. I was a little quiet, but I had a good time. I only remember about 4 people's names though, and I met like 15. Woops. It was a whirlwind. Started out by straightening up the samples closet. Remember that episode of Sex and the City where Carrie is writing an article for Vogue and the older guy brings her to the samples closet late at night to cheer her up? This was milder version of that. It's all the stuff they send to magazines and magazines send back and they haven't sent back to the warehouse. I saw some crazy shoes, the 96hours case, all kinds of stuff. Danielle (boss) walks in when I'm done and is like what size are you? I'm a 9, which just happens to be the "model size" so she hands me two pairs of shoes she says are "wearable" ... "wearable" in that they're not crazy. There were some crazy shoes. I got these ones and these ones and also this except the colors are reversed. Pretty sweet. I mostly worked on a report of where Puma stuff was in magazines in July. I get my own desk so I don't have to lug stuff there & back. I get my own phone extension & voicemail, except I left the number there. I will get my own comp & email, should be set up Thurs. Score. She said to me "feel free to use the internet, instant messenger, whatever - we're all about instant messenger" haha. So, I will be contact-able at work. She was also really cool about if I need days off or to switch days/time/leave early. Said "we'll start writing stuff soon" ... All in all the day went well and it looks like it will be good.

Classes are going well so far. Except that last night we got out of the Persuasion class early to watch the debates and do an analysis, buttt the debate wasn't on. Hmm. Gotta remember to check and see if it's on tonight.

Next time you visit you'll have to check out the pictures from Marissa's birthday (scanner = not working). We went to Dick's. It was rowdy & so much fun! More fun than the website makes it look. I highly recommend it as a group activity. Bring us with you!

What else? I haven't hung out with Meredith in awhile, it's such a busy time of year. Hung out with Danielle like 3 times last week, and got to hang out with Meliss twice too. It was great because I hadn't hung out with Meliss in forever, and also great because D left Saturday to drive cross country, then settle down in Seattle. Hmm. That is very far away. It's really really sad, I'm going to miss her so so much, but she has a cell phone with a good plan now so I can call her up, and she's coming back to visit in October and at Christmas, and then I'll have some one to visit in Seattle. Sounds good to me.

That's about it for now.

xoxo
