fantastic weekend.
saturday mom and dad came down. they brought muffins and pumpkin glasses and running shoes cyndy bought me! we went to hear tim shary's lecture, checked out the traina center, went out for breakfast-for-lunch, target for a bookcase and nightstand, and back here to build the furniture. they brought my tv&vcr down, too. my room is so set up! later, they took me and mo out to peppercorns for dinner. it was nice out and we walked down. my dinner was SO delicious! we walked home, and they headed back. it was a really nice day.
later, mo and i went upstairs to say hey at sam's birthday party. then it was off to lillie's bday at 40 with mo, lay, kate, brady, and aaron. we met up with vin on the way. it was packed i saw meredith's ex boyfriend and 2 guys from my high school. all very random chats. we then called escort for a "ride to walgreens" and the wonderful boy, max, who was driving drove us all the way to lietrim's. yes, we got out of the clark university escort big white mini van at the bar, haha. at 2, we called up again, and everyone went to walgreen's to get a ride back. i wasn't ready for home & bed, i went with doug jamie and jay to tortilla sams, then to john street, where brendan was back from japan. a little while later doug drove me back and i fell asleep in my wonderful bed with the family man playing.
sunday i worked a double but i made a ton of money :D
today ... just had class ... showed my video, it was well-recieved.

let's see ... i've been up since 845, a long day. finished outlining my chapter for t.v., ran (seriously) to class, walked home with rachel, hung out waiting for mo, showered, went to big y for hardcore grocery shopping. made 2 scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of bacon. went to work, found out staton was closing tonight for once, was home at 9 with some decent $. went to assumption to see tim play drums. saw marc & steph tequilla. talked to tequilla for way too long, considering last time i saw her was there about a year ago, and we hardly talked in high school. the band was pretty good, i had no idea what they were gonna be like, but in all honesty i kinda liked it. came home, was bummed to be doing nothing, but sort of liking the idea of rainy movie night. brady and aaron come over, wanting to go to the bar. talking to doug online, so b&a&me decide to go to lietrims. doug meets us there, and laughs at me. haha, kinda deserved. aaron and i have pearl harbors (new, yummy too-sweet drink). dollar drafts. see kristin benson, don't know when i last saw her ... random. apparently my night was all about lhs assumption kids. uhmmm then we left, and it was pouring and we got soaked en route to the car. now i am home, eating part of this sundae mo got me from mcdonalds. i'm not so much digging it, i think it's going back in the freezer, maybe for tomorrow night, but very nice of her to get, in consideration of me having not eaten anything. due to a late-night new story about the atkins diet we saw last night, i decided to see if i could go a day without carbs because i looooove bread products. i have been completely successful, although what i've eaten consists of a handful of baby carrots, 2 scrambled eggs, half a sliced tomato, and 2 pieces of bacon. oh and like 3 spoonfuls of mc d's ice cream. it's 1251 a.m. which means i have def. gone 24 hours which means maybe me and mo should heat up some of that nacho sauce we bought.
right ...
anyways .... i'm beginning to think that i didn't actually understand what was up ... so here i am.

mo and vin are watching sliding doors. i still miss london.
mom and dad are down at 11 a.m.

mariss keeps telling me i've been "jolly" lately, and everyone else seems to agree. apparently, i obviously love life this week. haha, really, that's only good.

today i was oh-so productive. my 5th year app is coming together nicely. i had to pick a specialization within the Public Communications department, and I decided on Marketing Communications. After talking to my dad tonight, I got psyched for life and realized I have a career goal. This is good for many reasons. For one, I now have something to write in my essay on my career goals for the program. Also, I feel like Mark-comm is something I would enjoy doing - a nice mix of creative/design type stuff with all of the communication/discourse stuff I've been doing at Clark. It makes me sort of look forward to doing 5th year, as opposed to looking at it purely as a free master's and a way to hold off "the real world" for another year.

So, today I gave one of my recommendation forms to TimShary, another one to SarahMichaels, and faxed the last one to Andrew in London. I also brought a copy of my paper to StudyAbroad, and briefly discussed that with Sarah when I saw her - she said it looks good from flipping through it, which is enough to make me happy. Let's hope I'm still happy when she grades it. I think I will be, though, because it is a good paper.

Work was good, except Sean felt like it was okay to make sexist comments because he's gay "I'm part of a minority too." This morning in t.v. we discussed some feminist theories and criticisms and so I just had it in mind all day. Let me just point out that women are not a minority. We are a marginalized majority.

anyways, i need to go to sleeeep. i have to rub vine charcoal all over two pieces of newsprint tomorrow a.m. before class :P

it's almost the weekend!
